Issue 3.5: Lana Del Rey
A note from the editors -
After the success of the Hozier issue, we decided to host another pop-up call for submissions for a Lana Del Rey inspired issue. In a 3 day window, we received submissions from over 100 poets. Making the final decisions was difficult and we appreciate everyone who submitted. Even if your work was not chosen, we hope you enjoyed this prompt!
The pieces chosen echo Lana's work by using 5 words from one (or more) or her songs, and these pieces also echo Lana's work thematically. Here you can find California dreams and nightmares, love gained and love lost, illusions of grandeur, open roads, hope, despair, and longing. We very much hope you enjoy this issue full of brilliant, timely, and beautiful work.
