I Believe in God Dog
Dog of all angels
do not hide from me,
I love you.
[pob lwc, God, now go]
No Dog. Not you. I pray
nuzzle my hand and comfort me.
[God, you are a jealous god]
Dog, walk with me all my days
through grass-bladed memories,
wind-blown, back to all beginnings,
forward in furred dreams to all futures.
[God, see Dog’s essence. He is holy.
Get thee gone, Jehovah, conjugate with Satan.
Deity/devil: two sides – one tin coin]
Dog, dance leap and growl.
Now I can believe. See you in me.
pob lwc - good luck (Welsh)
