blood bank
You said "Ain't this just like the present
To be showing up like this?"

- Bon Iver
i know it well / the secrets / the angst / burrowed in my chest / waiting to seep out / like pus from a wound / & my mouth is too damn full / from all the soft little words / that i keep from / spilling out / it’s like we met / at a blood bank / vulnerable / blood drained / dizzy / & not the right time / since you didn’t meet me first / yet we still touched anyway / now we’re here / too many years later / hiding away in messages / moving in slow motion / for the millionth time
